I’m so happy that we are finally getting some sun these days, leaving me in a good mood despite my busy schedule. For 2015 I’m trying to renew my wardrobe by adding pieces that I’ve been reluctant to put my hands on, one of which is a cross-body bag.
Cross-body bags have been spotted on models and celebrities for a long time now as it can create a laidback-chic vibe so effortlessly. The problem is you need super long legs for that to work and I am no model. With a height of merely 160cm, I’ve always fear it would make me look even shorter than I already am. But since the cross-body trend is getting stronger and stronger by the season, it’s really now or never.
Fortunately, the magic of putting together an outfit is to create the right proportions that flatter your body. Here, I’ve tried to elongate my height by wearing a cropped-jumper, making my torso look shorter so my legs appear longer. I’ve paired it with a classic striped shirt underneath so I’ll look more put-together. Pointed-flats have also made their way back on trend and the Valentino ‘Rockstud’ is an investment you’ll never regret. Finish the look by rolling up your jeans to show your ankle, do it whenever you wear flats for added elegance!
